Well, things have been fairly quiet in the ongoing UM Nevin Shapiro scandal. That may be getting ready to change. Sources are telling major news outlets that the University may suspend  the 12 current players whose eligibility may be in question, if the allegations from Shapiro prove true. This would be a proactive move by the University to prevent forfeiture of future games. Recent precedence in similar cases such as Georgia Tech having to forfeit games and an ACC Title would indicate this is a wise move.

The  12 players in question are quarterback Jacory Harris; defensive tackle Marcus Forston; receivers Travis Benjamin and Aldarius Johnson; safeties Ray-Ray Armstrong and Vaughn Telemaque; defensive ends Adewale Ojomo and Olivier Vernon; linebackers Sean Spence and Marcus Robinson; cornerback JoJo Nicolas; and tight end Dyron Dye. Nine of these players are starters.
