Is it just me, or does it seem like most of us just take what ESPN and their talking heads say as the Holy Grail? Take for instance this year’s Heisman race; it is just about which teams SID does the best job of promoting and which candidate ESPN decides to promote.

All we have heard all year is Andrew Luck and a few other names mixed in, depending on who had a hot game that week. I am in no way trying to diminish the accomplishments of Luck, Richardson, Weeden etc. What I am saying is this is an individual award given to a team sport player. The one common denominator for all the front runners, if you haven’t noticed, is they are on ranked teams.

Now right about now some are saying, yeah what about Case Keenum. Well, Case does have incredible numbers; I just can’t seem to back a guy that puts up these incredible numbers in C-USA against clearly subpar competition.

This article is dedicated to Robert Griffin III, the QB for the Baylor Bears. RG3 has quietly put up better numbers than Andrew Luck, Matt Barkley and Landry Jones. RG3 has for the season thrown 33 TD’s to only 5 Int. for 3572 yards. He has a 73 % completion ration with an incredible QB rating of 191.7 for the year. With the additional caveat of raking up 550 yards in gazelle like speed in rushing. On the big stage against OU on Saturday night in leading Baylor in their first ever win over the Sooners he had (479 yards passing 4 TD’s 0 Int.) against a very good OU defense.

So the question begs to be asked, why not RG3? He has certainly put up the Heisman like numbers and certainly means more to his team than any of the competition.

Give us your opinion FREAKS………….
